About the role
About Us
The team at Doherty Clinical Trials are driven to expand the horizons of early phase clinical trials, human challenge trials and medical research through the delivery of high-quality and safe clinical trials. We foster collaboration with stakeholders and value the essential role of clinical trial volunteers in enabling groundbreaking, innovative medical research that will translate to vaccines and therapies, especially for infectious diseases.
The Opportunity
Doherty Clinical Trials is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our casual nursing team, with a particular focus on night shift coverage.
This is a casual opportunity, working night shifts on a rotating roster. Ideally, you will be available to work an average of 2 to 3 night shifts per week, with shifts offered based on DCT’s operational requirements and your availability.

You will also ensure accurate and timely electronic documentation and work closely with the broader clinical and research teams to support the delivery of clinical trial protocols.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will be an experienced and confident Registered Nurse with strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
You will be comfortable working night shifts and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
You will provide comprehensive, high-quality clinical care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, while responding promptly and appropriately to changes in participant condition.
A commitment to professional conduct, participant safety and adaptability is essential.

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Confidence working independently during overnight shifts while collaborating effectively with the broader clinical team.
Strong clinical documentation skills and attention to detail.

Previous experience in a clinical trial setting is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong IT, application and systems skills. DCT is a highly digitised clinical trial unit, and confidence working across electronic systems is required.
ALS competency (desirable)
