The newly established Sunshine Coast Waterways Authority is seeking a Director (Strategy and Planning) to lead the vision, strategy and planning that will guide the sustainable future of the Sunshine Coast waterways.
This is a rare opportunity to help build a new statutory authority from the ground up and influence how waterways are managed for communities, industry and the environment.
PLEASE NOTE IT IS A BUSINESS REQUIREMENT FOR STAFF TO BE WORKING IN OFFICE FOR A MINIMUM 6 MONTHS WHILE THE SUNSHINE COAST WATERWAYS AUTHORITY IS ESTABLISHED.
As a senior leader, you will drive SCWA's strategy, planning, stakeholder engagement, communications, environmental, assessment and approvals functions, and provide trusted strategic advice to the Board and Minister.
You will lead the development and delivery of SCWA's 10-Year Waterways Management Strategy and rolling Waterways Management Program, while overseeing key planning and regulatory activities including Mooloolaba state.
