Assistant Store Manager – Indoor Playcentre

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager – Indoor Playcentre to join the team at Chipmunks Bibra Lake. This is a part-time position based in Bibra Lake, WA 6163. As Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our indoor playcentre whilst ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests and their families. You will work closely with the Store Manager to maintain high operational standards, oversee staff performance, and contribute to the achievement of business objectives in a vibrant and family-friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the playcentre operates smoothly and safely

• Supervise and support front-of-house and operational staff, providing guidance

• Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure all guests receive excellent service and have a memorable experience

• Maintain compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards across all areas of the facility

• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner

• Assist with stock management, ordering and inventory control

• Support the planning and execution of events, promotions and activities to drive customer engagement

• Contribute to achieving sales targets and financial goals

• Undertake opening and closing procedures as required

• Report on operational matters and performance metrics to the Store Manager

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a retail, hospitality or customer-facing management role, preferably within leisure or entertainment sectors

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively

• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Solid understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements in public-facing facilities

• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills

• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and school holidays as required for a part-time role

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure

• A friendly, enthusiastic approach with a genuine interest in creating a welcoming environment for families and children

• Relevant qualifications in management, hospitality or customer service would be advantageous
