Geronimo Advisory is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced consultant to join our Sydney team.

We are seeking an experienced building services and building performance professional who is passionate about improving the performance, sustainability and value of existing buildings.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Geronimo Advisory, an independent building performance and sustainability consultancy working with leading property owners, asset managers, investors and facilities teams across Australia.

About the role

As a principal, you will play a key role in growing our Sydney business, leading client relationships and delivering high value building performance outcomes.

We are particularly interested in someone with:

• 10+ years’ experience in building services, with a strong preference for Mechanical Engineering experience

• Demonstrated experience in existing building performance, energy & water efficiency and sustainability

• Strong understanding of building services systems and how they influence building performance

• Experience working with commercial property owners, asset managers, investors, facilities managers and property managers

• An established industry network and client relationships across the Sydney property sector

• Experience identifying and delivering energy, carbon, water and operational improvement opportunities

• Strong commercial, consulting and project management skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

• The ability to identify opportunities, develop client relationships and contribute to business growth

What you’ll do

You will have the opportunity to:

• Lead building performance and sustainability projects across existing buildings

• Work directly with property owners, asset managers and investment teams

• Develop and maintain senior client relationships

• Identify building optimisation, energy & water efficiency, electrification and renewable energy opportunities

• Lead Net Zero Transition and broader building performance initiatives including performance certifications such as NABERS, Green Star Performance, GRESB

• Provide strategic advice that delivers measurable operational, financial and environmental outcomes

• Help grow Geronimo Advisory’s Sydney presence and client base

• Collaborate with our Principals and technical specialists across Melbourne and Perth as well as work and deliver independently

• Hybrid working with minimum of 3 days in Office
