Legal Conference Researcher and Producer

Legalwise Seminars is the Australian leader in providing continuing professional development for the legal profession and other professionals requiring legal information for their roles, producing content‑led conferences for senior lawyers, regulators and public‑sector decision‑makers. We’re hiring at a number of experience levels and are looking for a Conference Producer who is curious, articulate and comfortable engaging directly with senior professionals.

This is a content‑led role. It is not event logistics.

About the role:

• Speak directly with senior lawyers, regulators and industry leaders to develop conference content
• Thoroughly research conference topics with legal professionals and industry executives to develop the intellectual content of your conferences
• Design programs for both legal audiences and non‑lawyers in regulated industries
• Secure speakers while establishing and managing on-going speaker and delegate relationships
• Write copy for the conference agenda, website and marketing collateral
• Work alongside our Marketing and Operations teams to ensure that your conferences succeed
• Run conferences live onsite and online

You are:

• Experienced in producing conferences and are self- motivated, interested in the law and current affairs
• Confident in picking up the phone and having professional conversations
• Curious, articulate and not intimidated by senior conversations then we’d like to hear from you
• Outgoing, confident and bright with a positive attitude and an interest in working with a supportive team
• Ask good questions and think clearly and are able to transform research into compelling conferences
• An avid learner who enjoys learning complex subject matter
• Reliable and able to take initiative
• Exceptional business acumen and analytical skills
• A keen eye for detail
• Ambitious, team-oriented and commercially focused
• Either with experience in conference production or are early‑career/ a recent graduate
• Come from law, arts, policy, communications, sales or marketing (helpful, not essential)

Location:

Sydney‑based. Office‑based generally 4 days per week.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
