North West - Healthy Women
About the role
If women’s health is an area you genuinely enjoy, and you’re looking for a clinic where you can keep developing your skills while being well supported, we’d love to hear from you.
North West - Healthy Women is looking for a Part-Time Physiotherapist, approximately 10–15 hours per week initially, to join our growing women’s health team at Everton Park.
As our women’s health service continues to grow, there will be opportunity to increase your hours alongside patient demand, making this a great role for someone who would like to build their caseload and potentially grow into a larger position over time.
We’re open to physiotherapists at different stages of their career, from an experienced women’s health clinician through to a motivated early-career physio who has a strong interest in developing in this area.
Remuneration is $45–$65 + Super per hour, depending on experience.
A little about usNorth West – Healthy Women opened in 2024 as a dedicated women’s health clinic within the North West Physiotherapy group.
North West Physiotherapy has been looking after the Brisbane Northside community for more than 30 years, so while Healthy Women is a relatively new and growing part of the group, you’ll also have the support, systems and stability of an established physiotherapy network behind you.
Our clinic has been designed specifically with women’s health and exercise-based rehabilitation in mind. You’ll have access to private treatment rooms, a fully equipped rehabilitation gym, Reformers and dedicated exercise areas.
Most importantly, we want the clinic to be a place where women feel comfortable, listened to and confident getting help.
What the role looks likeThe position is a combination of women’s health physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy and clinical exercise, with plenty of opportunity to shape your caseload around your interests and experience.
You may see patients for:
Pelvic floor assessment and rehabilitation
Pregnancy-related pelvic, back and musculoskeletal conditions
Postnatal rehabilitation and return to exercise
General musculoskeletal and sporting injuries
Exercise-based rehabilitation
Reformer Pilates and clinical exercise
Small group exercise including Pregnancy Exercise and Forever Fit classes
We also work closely with local GPs, specialists and other health professionals, and we’re continuing to build our referral network as the clinic grows.
We take professional development seriouslyWe know “great professional development” gets written into almost every physio job advertisement. For us, it needs to be something you actually receive.
You’ll have access to:
$1,500 per year towards external professional development
Use it towards courses and further training that are relevant to your clinical interests and career.
Regular one-on-one mentoring
You’ll have dedicated mentoring with experienced Women’s Health Physiotherapists, Titled Physiotherapists and Physiotherapists with 15+ years of experience. Depending on your experience, this can be weekly or fortnightly and is protected time rather than something squeezed into a lunch break.
Paid Weekly In-Services
Each week, we come together for dedicated clinical education and professional development.
Sessions are varied and may include Women’s Health Physiotherapy, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, presentations from other allied health professionals, case discussions, practical clinical skills and sessions with external presenters.
The aim is not just to build your physiotherapy skills, but to help you become a more well-rounded, holistic practitioner with a broader understanding of the different factors that influence a patient’s health, recovery and overall wellbeing.
And if you’re ambitious…There is plenty of room to build a long-term career within North West.
That could simply mean building your hours and caseload as Healthy Women continues to grow, or it could mean progressing into leadership, business and eventually clinic ownership.
Clinicians who are interested in the business side of private practice can access mentoring and development in these areas as their career progresses.
This isn’t just something we put in an advertisement either. Every current clinic partner in the North West Physiotherapy group originally started with us as a treating physiotherapist.
At the same time, there’s absolutely no expectation that ownership has to be your goal. If you simply want to become an excellent clinician and enjoy coming to work, we’re equally supportive of that.
Who we’re looking forYou’ll need:
Full unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
A genuine interest in women’s health
An interest in exercise-based rehabilitation and Pilates
Good communication skills and an ability to make patients feel comfortable
Eligibility to work in Australia
Completion of the APA Level 1 Women’s Health Physiotherapy course would be desired, with Level 2 or further women’s health training highly regarded.
Experience in Pilates, Reformer instruction or musculoskeletal physiotherapy would also be an advantage.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, wants to continue learning and would like to be part of growing a really good women’s health service.
Why North West? We’re proud of the fact that people tend to stay with us.
Across the North West Physiotherapy group, we have team members who have been with us for 10, 15 and even more than 20 years.
We think that comes down to having good people around you, being supported professionally, having opportunities to grow and enjoying the people you work with.
We regularly organise team social events, but we also understand that a good workplace culture is much more about what happens from Monday to Friday.
Interested? We’d be very happy to have a confidential conversation first if you’d simply like to learn more about the position before deciding whether to apply.
Please contact Ron at *******@northwestphysio.com.au. We’d love to hear from you!
