Senior Finance Manager - Brisbane

About the role  

DP World is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our Brisbane Terminal and work closely with our operations and engineering management. You will be the one bringing the numbers, the analysis, and the financial know-how that helps us plan smarter and stay on solid ground. Key Accountabilities –   

• Lead the annual budget, strategic planning, and quarterly forecasts, ensuring the terminal's direction is grounded in sound financial analysis 

• Ensure the numbers behind the terminal genuinely stack up reviewing capex proposals and cashflow forecasts, keeping monthly management reporting accurate and on time 

• Deliver financial analysis behind terminal initiatives, including Enterprise Agreement and labour modelling 

• Team up with Operations and Engineering to find cost savings and business improvements 

• Prepare monthly labour cost reports and keep working capital and reconciliations in good shape 

• Guide and grow the finance team, helping build a group people genuinely trust and rely on 

• Make sure every financial and required report goes out accurate and on time, with the attention to detail that keeps errors out and compliance solid 

• Analyse monthly financial results and help managers across the business understand what those results actually mean and what to do next 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:  

• CPA/CA or equivalent required 

• Minimum 5 years' broad experience in accounting and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning 

• Experience managing staff (direct or indirect) 

• Hands-on experience with month-end close, management reporting, cashflow, and reconciliations 

• Track record in capital expenditure evaluation and driving business improvement initiatives 

• Experience in a terminal, logistics, ports, or industrial/operations-heavy environment highly regarded 

• Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and build trust across finance, operations, and engineering 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong analytical ability and sound commercial judgement 

• High accuracy and attention to detail 

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with ERP systems 

• Strategic thinking, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure 

• Adaptable, achievement-oriented, and a genuine team player
