Cleaning Plant Operator

About the role

As a Cleaning Plant Operator, you will set up, run, monitor, and maintain grain cleaning equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working within a cooperative team environment and is looking for a solid work-life balance. The role is Monday to Friday with some flexibility in hours for the right candidate. By mutual agreement with the team, there may also be occasional weekend work in peak season.

Key responsibilities

• Run grain cleaner cleaning pulse crops for Export Sales

• Help unload trucks and move containers around the site

• Transfer raw materials to storage and packing-line feed silos

• Keep accurate records of product movement

• Follow all workplace safety guidelines

About you

• Hold a valid high risk forklift certification

• Willingness to work across different areas of the plant as required

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

• Excellent communication skills

• Basic Computer Skills or the ability to acquire them

• Mechanical aptitude and previous experience in grain handling considered favourably

• Prepared to undertake initial training working with an experienced cleaner, before transitioning to the standard day time or afternoon shift
