We deliver 28 key services such as early childhood education and care, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.
The role
2 Full time Permanent Roles
The successful candidate will support Council's Children's Centres in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care. They will work alongside a longstanding and experienced team and contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging environment, foster positive relationships with children and families, offer interesting and creative educative programs and uphold a strong child safeguarding culture.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Ensure compliance with the Early Education and Care National Law and Regulations, including the National Quality Standards, at all times. Assist in the implementation of an innovative and reflective early childhood education program that is reflective of the principles, practices, and outcomes of the National Early Years Learning Framework. Contribute to a collaborative team through shared learning, a positive attitude, and sound communications skills. Foster positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and professionals, while working together to create a tailored curriculum that reflects each child's strengths, needs, and interests. Observe and document children’s learning and development using a variety of methods.

You will have
Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACEQQA approved qualification) Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Significant Harm Approved current Senior First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis Current CPR certificate Completed National Child Safety training Demonstrated experience in providing quality learning experiences and environments for young children. Demonstrated knowledge of mandatory reporting obligations and high level knowledge of current child protection legislation. Knowledge and experience in implementing the National Early Years learning Framework and Child Safe Standards.
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $74,693 - $80,522 per annum + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
