About the role

NQ Party Hire – Townsville is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Event Labourers to join our dynamic team. This is a casual position based in Townsville, QLD 4810, offering flexible work opportunities for individuals who enjoy hands-on labour and working in fast-paced event environments. As an Event Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our events run smoothly by providing essential support with setup, breakdown, and general labour tasks throughout the event lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

• Setting up event equipment, marquees, tables, chairs at various venues

• Breaking down and packing away equipment following events

• Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles and storage facilities

• Assisting with event logistics and coordination on the day

• Following health and safety protocols and guidelines at all times

• Working as part of a team to ensure efficient event delivery

• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of work areas and event spaces

• Cleaning and maintenance of plant and equipment

• Prepping equipment for dispatch/ Stock control on return

What we're looking for

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items

• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as event schedules require

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

• Experience in event support, hospitality, or general labour roles is advantageous

• Current driver's license is required

• Willingness to obtain any required safety certifications or training
