About the Role
As a member of the Revenue team, you’ll play a key role in delivering efficient, accurate and customer-focused services that support the integrity of Council's revenue, property and customer information systems.
You will deliver a range of administrative and operational functions including responding to customer enquiries, maintaining records and databases, processing applications and requests, banking downloads, undertaking supplementary processes, supporting team operations, and ensuring information is managed accurately and in accordance with organisational requirements.

Reporting to the Team Leader – Revenue the core responsibilities include:
All aspects of revenue services are delivered accurately, efficiently and in accordance with legislative, policy and customer service requirements. Accurate property and customer records are maintained, supplementary valuations and rates are processed, and compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures is achieved. Administrative processes, procedures and supporting documentation are continually improved, enhancing efficiency, consistency and service outcomes.
The integrity and accuracy across revenue systems, records and data are maintained to a high standard, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and accessibility of information and transactions. This includes the ongoing management of property, valuation and name and address records, conducting audits and reconciliations, and implementing data quality improvement initiatives.
Exceptional customer service is consistently provided to ratepayers, internal departments and external agencies by providing timely, professional and compassionate responses to enquiries and preparing responses, correspondence and reports.
Actively contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team by supporting colleagues, effectively planning and prioritising, sharing knowledge, contributing to problem solving and procedure development, and responding flexibly to changing priorities and operational needs.
About You
Demonstrated experience providing and administrative processes in a high-volume environment. Highly developed MS Office skills. Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service in sensitive matters.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills including the preparation of correspondence and reports. Strong interpersonal skills and experience engaging with internal teams and external ratepayers, agencies and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to respond to issues, problems and opportunities that arise, ensuring decisions and actions taken are in line with policies, procedures and guidelines, and to work collegiately and problem solve with other team members.
Ability to manage time, set priorities, plan and organise work. Perform and complete tasks in a logical, efficient and organised manner in a professional and customer focussed environment.
