About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Work Health & Safety (WHS) Officer to lead and support workplace health and safety initiatives across the Home.
This position is offered as a part-time role (0.6 FTE), with working days negotiable. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to expand the role into a full-time Work Health & Safety and Compliance Officer position by taking on additional responsibilities in governance, compliance, organisational data collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced WHS professional looking for flexibility, or someone seeking to broaden their career into aged care compliance and governance.
What You'll Bring
You will be a proactive and organised WHS professional with the ability to build strong relationships and promote a positive safety culture. Experience in aged care, healthcare or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
Your skills & experience
· Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) or higher
· Proven experience in risk management, incident investigation and workers' compensation/return-to-work coordination.
· Demonstrated experience handling data systems and/or digital risk management applications
Desirable:
· Qualified Fire Safety Advisor as per the Queensland Building Fire Safety requirements
· Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment

Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
