Experienced Backhoe Operator

BTR Excavations is a well-established Civil Construction company in Adelaide North, with 30 years in the Civil Construction industry. Due to an increased volume of work - we are seeking an experienced full-time Backhoe Operator to join our team.

This role is for a full time permanent position and is now available to the right person utilising one of our JCB 3CX Backhoes for works with our connections teams for new water and sewer connections in the Adelaide Metro area.

Candidates will have experience as a senior operator in the civil construction industry with experience in water and sewer connections along with excavating around known and located asset. Working with detailed located plans, you will ideally have several years experience in this field.  

You must also have a high attention to detail and be able to work in a team environment. Your ability to work with minimal supervision within a team environment, display a positive & self-motivated attitude and be able to demonstrate sound problem solving skills will have you well suited to this position.

Start and finish in Waterloo Corner daily, so ideally you will be living in the Northern Area for your convenience. The position is Monday – Friday with flexibility for Saturday works and night works dependent upon specialist site requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience in Civil Construction and operating a Backhoe, digging, grading and trenching

• Experience digging around live underground assets 

• Backhoe ticket 

• Have a Construction Industry Card (White Card)

• Valid MR license required 

• Positive attitude 

• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations

• Ability to work overtime, weekends or nights when required
