Customer Care Consultant

About the role

As a Customer Care Consultant, you will work as part of the Customer Care team to provide high levels of support to clients of St John Ambulance Queensland’s community services programs. You will respond to enquiries, support the booking and intake process, conduct client welfare checks, receive payments, answer questions and help manage client portfolios.

We have two positions available: one permanent full-time role and one full-time role on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Respond to incoming client and customer enquiries in a timely, professional and supportive manner.
• Create and update bookings accurately using relevant systems and processes.
• Support client intake by collecting, recording and maintaining accurate information.
• Conduct client welfare checks with care, empathy and attention to detail.
• Receive and process payments in line with organisational procedures.
• Answer service-related enquiries and provide clear information to clients, families and stakeholders.
• Manage client portfolios and follow up on service needs as required.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by your manager.

What You’ll Bring

• You have experience in customer service, with call centre experience highly regarded.
• You communicate clearly and professionally with people from diverse backgrounds.
• You are organised, accurate and confident working with client information and administrative systems.
• You bring a caring, respectful and client-centred approach to every interaction.
• You can work collaboratively as part of a team while managing your own tasks and priorities.
• Experience in community services will be highly regarded.
