Electrical Apprentice

Our host Schneider Electric is currently seeking 1st Year Apprentices (but would love to hear from 2nd and 3rd years too!) to join their diverse Services business which provides 24/7 servicing for: hospitals, utilities, data centers, support for the resources sector and just about everything in-between. The Schneider Electric portfolio covers UPS, critical cooling equipment, LV/MV switchgear, transformers, substation monitoring as well as a wide range of ancillary equipment. They enable owners, end users and custodians to minimise breakdowns, increase reliability, efficiency and safety while reducing costs and simplifying operations.

The Apprenticeship
If you have a keen and curious interest in electrical technology, then this is the Apprenticeship for you!  This hands-on Apprenticeship will see you learning from passionate professionals as you develop your skills and gain a nationally recognised Trade Qualification.  Some of the skills you will develop include:

• Develop an understanding of electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and diagrams to determine job requirements
• Plan and measure the layout of wiring systems
• Test, find, and repair electrical problems and breakdowns
• Install, troubleshoot and commission electrical and electronic assets
• Connect electrical equipment to power supplies  
• Coding and a focus on Building Management Systems

  
Location: Macquarie Park NSW
Hours of Work: 8.00am– 4.00pm (negotiable), Monday - Friday

About You

• Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
• Minimum completion of Year 12 High School
• Driver’s License and reliable transport
• Completed a Certificate II in Electrotechnology
