Senior / Project Manager – Client Side – Education / Health Projects

Known as one of the leading firms in the delivery of projects, this is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking, professional project management consultancy.
A high degree of client and stakeholder liaison will be involved, from feasibility stage to delivery stage of the project. Leadership, communication and people management skillset will be paramount along with a strong base of technical knowledge.
Project experience in the education sector would be beneficial however more than happy to look at candidates with experience in other sectors including health and commercial. Having some experience working with institutional clients with multiple stakeholders and experience working for a client with strong governance and procedure would be ideal.
Projects will be new build, refurb and upgrades with projects from smaller up to $50m as well as larger jobs $500m+ as part of a team.
Candidates will ideally have client-side experience delivering projects through the full project lifecycle and be able to delivery projects autonomously. Candidates can come from client-side consultancy, client side, main contractor or consulting engineering firms.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:Client management and consultationProject Planning / Feasibility studiesRisk ManagementValue EngineeringDesign Management and Value EngineeringProcurement of construction servicesCost control and cost reportingSuperintendent of construction deliveryCommissioning and post contract duties for handover
Qualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar5-10 + years’ experience of end-to-end project management on building projectsPrevious experience delivering education projects is idealExperience in Business Development or a strong network would be an advantageLeadership skillsStrategic thinker who is able to see the bigger pictureExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPrevious client side project management experience desirable
