The Project 

UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.  

HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.  

The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. 

The Role:

We are seeking experienced Bus Drivers to join our Logistics crew.  In this role you will be responsible for safety transporting our workforce between Wagga Wagga Airport and our accommodation camps in Tarcutta and Kunama. This is an great opportunity to work within an established crew on a large-scale infrastructure project.  

This will be a full-time permanent opportunity on a FIFO/DIDO basis on a 14:7 roster.  All flights, accommodations and meals provided in brand new camps. 

About You

• Construction White Card - essential
• HR Driver's license - essential
• Bus Driver Authority Certificate
• First Aid and CPR 
• Ability to undergo a preemployment and Bus Driver Authority medical 
• Demonstrated experience working in a similar role - preferably on a FIFO project 
• Work to a high standard and be passionate about what you do
