Role Description The Construction Project Coordinator is a full-time hybrid role based in Dandenong South, VIC, with some flexibility for work from home. This role coordinates shed and construction projects from contract acceptance through to completion, managing timelines, documentation, and communication with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and tracking project schedules, reviewing permits and inspections, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with budgeting and cost tracking. The coordinator will follow up on materials orders, ensure site readiness, proactively address issues or delays, and keep stakeholders informed. The role also involves supporting continuous improvement of construction processes and collaborating with the broader team to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Qualifications Candidates should possess strong project coordination skills, including scheduling, documentation management, and stakeholder communication.Candidates should possess construction project management and construction management skills to oversee site activities and support end-to-end delivery.Candidates should possess project management skills, including risk identification, prioritisation, and follow-through on tasks and milestones.Candidates should possess budgeting and cost tracking skills to support quoting, cost control, and financial reporting for projects.Relevant experience in construction, building, or related industries, preferably in coordinating multiple concurrent projects.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal team members.High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and proficiency with project management and office software (e.g., MS Office, project scheduling tools).Valid driver’s licence and the ability to attend project sites as required; knowledge of Australian building codes and permitting processes is an advantage.
