Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

The QA Officer will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and will have a hands-on and administrative QA role within the company. Interpersonal skills in this role are very important as you will be dealing with organisations including federal and state government regulators, third party auditors and other relevant departments within the company.

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring HACCP, GMP & food safety standards are met through regular quality checks.

• Participate in audits, reporting and quality improvement initiatives.

• Liaising with technical, production, sales and marketing staff to ensure maximum quality outputs.

• Investigate and implement corrective actions where deficiencies are identified.

About you

• Previous QA experience in the food industry would be an advantage.

• Qualifications in or currently undertaking studies in Food Science/Technology or related discipline.

• Excellent working knowledge of HACCP, quality systems and food safety.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Good communications skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Flexibility to work various shifts in a fast-paced environment.
