Great Energy WA
About the role
ComAp controls Electrician/Engineer
Great Energy is a WA based IPP (Independent Power Provider) dedicated to delivering fuel-efficient, reliable power generation solutions to our mining clients. We focus on providing the right solution for each application rather than simply supplying the cheapest equipment.

To be successful in this role, the following are key requirements:
Previous experience or exposure to ComAp generator controllers.
No ego. Absolute team player with positive “can-do” approach to everything.
A focus on continuous improvement with a strong work ethic and high professional standards. Someone who is not satisfied with the status-quo i.e. continuous improvement focussed.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, including AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN outputs.
Solid grounding in Australian Standards for panel construction.
Good PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
What you'll do
Monitor and review exiting generator controls configurations and migrate to standardised configurations.
Create and support a central control room for monitoring of all power generation assets.
Develop innovative monitoring and reporting of alarms, faults and other key parameters for action/reporting internally and externally.
Develop and implement CCTV capability into existing control platforms.
Design and integrate fuel control systems into the ComAp controls platforms.
Liaise with Client project and operations teams as required.
Establish and upgrade comms platforms for all assets.
Support and train our mechanical and electrical technicians.
Wire and test electrical control panels to Australian Standards, working from schematics and technical drawings.
In return, we offer excellent earning potential with all the usual benefits, in a strong and stable business that focuses on team building and continual growth.
