Contracts Administrator

FACTION is an established SME Property Consulting Firm seeking an experienced Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop their capability toward Project Management.

This is a client-side secondment opportunity where you will work closely with FACTION’s Director and the client’s program team, gaining exposure to the broader project lifecycle while building on your existing contract administration and commercial experience.You’ll provide effective day-to-day administration of project contracts, while working alongside project professionals and stakeholders to develop a broader understanding of project delivery, client-side project management and the commercial drivers behind successful projects.

About the role

As a Contract Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

• Contract administration and management throughout the project lifecycle
• Managing contractual correspondence, notices, registers and documentation
• Reviewing and administering progress claims, variations and extension of time claims
• Identifying and managing contractual and commercial risk
• Supporting procurement, tendering and contract award processes
• Providing commercial and contractual support to the program team
• Maintaining accurate contract and commercial records
• Working closely with project stakeholders

About you

Importantly, you’ll be someone who wants to build on your Contract Administration experience and develop toward Project Management. You’re interested in expanding your exposure beyond the contractual and commercial aspects of projects, building stronger client and stakeholder management capability and developing a broader understanding of end-to-end project delivery.

Additionally, we’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in Contracts Administration, ideally within infrastructure, engineering, construction or property
• Commercially minded with a strong understanding of contractual obligations and processes
• Experienced in managing progress claims, variations and EOT claims
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• A confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Able to interpret contracts, scopes and project documentation
• Proactive, solutions focused and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in a client facing environment

For Senior Contracts Administration level, you will also have experience independently managing complex contracts, providing contractual & commercial advice, managing significant claims and variations and identifying and mitigating commercial risk.
