Council is comprised of three (3) Departments: Executive Services, Finance & Liveability, and Infrastructure. About the Region
The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. The region is home to the stunning Bunya Mountains, where you can enjoy spectacular rainforest walks, nights by the fire in hidden chalets and the best scenic views Queensland has to offer. The South Burnett region is renowned for its great wine, gourmet foods and recreational facilities such as Lake Boondooma and Yallakool tourist parks.
About the role
Based in Kingaroy
Permanent - Full Time
$63K - $66K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Labourer to join our road construction team. This role will undertake a range of general labouring duties across road construction and maintenance operations, including concreting, drainage works, tasks on sealed and unsealed roads, and maintenance of various infrastructure assets. The successful applicant will have proven experience in general labouring duties, demonstrated ability in the operation and basic maintenance of small plant and equipment, and the capacity to work effectively as part of a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to follow directions and work safely and efficiently, are essential for success in this role.
Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence
General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Certification (White Card)
Desirable Qualifications
Plant/ Truck licences (MR, HR, HC) or other operationally relevant tickets
Traffic Control Ticket (Level 1)
First Aid Certificate

Skills and experience
