General Practitioner

A temporary part-time opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to comprehensive patient care, and support improved health outcomes for older people in a welcoming and innovative healthcare environment.

About the role

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centred care that supports improved health outcomes, quality of life and informed decision-making for older people and their families. You will provide ongoing management of acute and chronic health conditions, preventative healthcare, medication management and clinical oversight throughout a client's stay.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Treat patients and their families with courtesy and sympathy and treat all hospital staff and professional colleagues with courtesy and respect
• Be contactable by phone during business hours for advice and guidance on patient management.
• Undertake a global health assessment at the time of the client's entry to the service
• Continue close collaboration with specialists involved in clients' care
• Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals
