About the role

Were on the hunt for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the intimate, 30-40 seat café and bistro in a renowned suburb of Sydney. Responsibilities

• Design and execute menus that reflect the signature French bistro style with a twist.
• Lead kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high-quality standards.
• Oversee stock control, food costs, and supplier relationships to maintain profitability.
• Manage and mentor a small team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
• Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a seamless dining experience.

About you

• 3-5 years of experience in a Head Chef or senior kitchen role.

• French or European culinary techniquesno Michelin stars required, just great food!

• Professional attitude with a hands-on approach.

• Organised, clean, and efficientable to thrive in a small kitchen.

• Business-minded, with an understanding of food and labour costs.
