As a member of the Catering team at The Haven, you’ll play an important role in creating enjoyable mealtimes for our residents. From preparing and serving quality food to sharing a friendly smile and a few words, you’ll help make each day a little brighter.

About The Role

Providing resident meal service, including assisting with meal preparation, delivering a quality dining experience and supporting residents as requiredHelping create welcoming and enjoyable mealtimes where residents feel valued and cared forSupporting your peers and contributing to a friendly, cooperative team environmentWorking safely to protect yourself, your colleagues and our residents, while closely following all policies and procedures

To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need

Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essentialA genuine heart and passion for providing high quality care and support to older peopleStrong communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to be part of a teamA good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygieneWarm and empathetic interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people from a wide range of backgroundsNDIS and Police check clearance, or willingness to obtain
