Mobile Plant Mechanic (Diesel Tech)

A mandatory pre-employment medical exam with drug & alcohol screening are standard within our industry.

Ideal Candidate:

You will possess a relevant trade qualification - Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent.
A positive team player attitude, willingness to learn, and flexibility are required.

Key Requirements:

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent Diesel Mechanic trade).

• Proven experience in service on mobile plant, heavy machinery or cranes.

• Demonstrated experience in complex fault finding and diagnostics on hydraulic and electrical systems.

• Ability to work autonomously.

• Great communication skills.

• Current driver’s licence (HR highly desirable).

• High level commitment to safety, OEM quality and customer service.

• Experience with Franna pick & carry, or other mobile cranes will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities:

•         Complete scheduled servicing, repairs and inspections Franna mobile cranes.

•         Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic & electrical faults in the field.

•         Attend breakdown and emergency repairs with minimal supervision.

•         Maintain effective communications with all internal and external customers and complete all relevant documentation as required.

•         Ensure all work complies with safety requirements and meets OEM standards.

•         Represent the company in its relationships with major customers.

•         Perform duties in the field whenever required.
