House Support Lead (Supported Independent Living)

Summary:

The House Support Lead plays a crucial role in the Supported Independent Living sector, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care and support. Based in Mount Colah, New South Wales, this permanent full-time position involves leading a dedicated team to foster a safe and nurturing environment for individuals with diverse needs. The role is integral to promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for residents, aligning with our commitment to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of support workers, ensuring effective delivery of care services.
• Develop and implement individual support plans tailored to the needs of residents.
• Conduct regular assessments and reviews of resident progress and wellbeing.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
• Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.
• Act as a liaison between residents, families, and external stakeholders.
• Manage daily operations of the house, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Promote a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the residence.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications in health, social care, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the health and safety or supported living sector.
• Strong understanding of person-centred care principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage conflict effectively.
• Current first aid and CPR certification.
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
