The Company

Our client is a highly respected Australian technology solutions provider delivering consulting, engineering, and project services to some of Australia's most recognised enterprise organisations. Partnering with large-scale retail and commercial customers, they specialise in helping organisations modernise, secure, and optimise their technology environments through innovative cloud, infrastructure, networking, and security solutions.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong engineer or consultant who wants to transition into a Solutions Consultant position. Working across presales, consulting, and project delivery, you'll partner with customers to understand business challenges, design fit-for-purpose solutions, and provide technical leadership throughout the engagement lifecycle.

The role is approximately:

• 20% Presales
• 40% Consulting
• 40% Project Delivery

Responsibilities

• Conduct customer discovery workshops and gather technical and business requirements.
• Design and recommend cloud, infrastructure, networking, identity, security, and modern workplace solutions.
• Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs), technical proposals, and solution documentation.
• Present technical solutions to stakeholders ranging from engineers through to executive leadership teams.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor across customer environments.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, solution architecture activities, and technical workshops.
• Deliver enterprise technology projects and provide technical oversight throughout implementation.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical best practice across the broader team.

Requirements

Essential

• Minimum 5 years' technical experience within Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Modern Workplace, or Managed Services environments.
• Expert-level capability in at least one of the following:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft 365
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Server & Storage Infrastructure
  • End User Computing

Highly Desirable

• Previous consulting or professional services experience.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions.
• Exposure to networking, cybersecurity, cloud, or data centre technologies.
• Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, or equivalent certifications.
