Business Development Manager- New Practice Acquisition

An exciting, new opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a rapidly growing insurance company.  This is a genuine hunter position, focused on identifying and converting established financial planning practices and/or financial services firms into their growing national network.

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Identify and target high-quality financial planning firms 
• Build relationships with practice owners and senior stakeholders
• Generate and manage a strong new business pipeline
• Present and negotiate a compelling licensing proposition
• Assess commercial opportunities and revenue potential
• Manage opportunities through to successful sign-up and onboarding
• Represent the business at industry events and networking forums
• Travel to Melbourne, Brisbane and other locations will be required for practice visits, industry events and networking.
• The opportunity to play a key role in the next phase of an ambitious growth strategy
• Ability to identify opportunities, influence decision makers and win new business.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in life insurance, wealth management, financial advice, or broader financial services is essential 
• Proven experience in business development, distribution or partnerships
• A strong network across financial planning 
• A genuine hunter mentality and proven new business success
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Confidence engaging with business owners and senior stakeholders
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
• The ability to work autonomously in a fast-growing environment
