Excavator / Mobile Plant Operator (Crushing & Screening)

About the role

Sycamore Civil Group is a growing Western Australian civil contractor delivering high-performance mobile crushing, screening, and bulk earthworks solutions across regional and metro projects. We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Excavator Operator with solid heavy-plant capability to join our crushing crew in the Kalgoorlie region. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for operating production excavators working off benches, feeding mobile crushing and screening spreads, and keeping site operations moving safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate large excavators on bench work, feeding mobile jaw/cone crushers and screening plants

• Operate wheel loaders for stockpiling, load-out, and general material handling as required

• Perform pre-start inspections, routine daily greasing, and essential machine maintenance

• Work alongside the crushing crew during plant moves, screen changes, clearing blockages, and unscheduled maintenance

• Maintain clean benches, clear feed ramps, and manage stockpile areas safely

• Comply with site HSE policies, SWMS, and risk assessments at all times

About you

• Minimum 7 years operating excavators in civil, quarry, or mining operations

• Proven competence working large excavators on bench-loading applications

• Prior experience working around mobile crushing and screening circuits is strongly preferred

• Nationally accredited Excavator ticket (RIIMPO320F or equivalent VOC)

• Front End Loader ticket (preferred)

• Current Australian Driver's Licence (C-class or HR preferred)

• Construction Safety Induction (White / Blue Card)

• Able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screen
