About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Project Officer to support the delivery of Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) and other employment and training initiatives.
Working closely with participants, trainers, employers and community stakeholders, you will coordinate program activities, support participant engagement and progression, maintain compliance requirements, and help create strong employment outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support participants from enrolment through to completion and employment pathways.
- Conduct information sessions, inductions and engagement activities.
- Monitor attendance, progression, engagement and support needs.
- Provide practical employability support, including resumes, job applications and interview preparation.
- Coordinate participant resources, training requirements and program activities.
- Coordinate and book training venues, equipment and resources to support successful program delivery.
- Plan and coordinate graduations, participant celebrations and other program events.
- Build relationships with employers, community organisations and referral partners.
- Assist with work experience, employment opportunities and participant placements.
- Maintain accurate records, reporting and compliance documentation.
- Prepare project updates and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support successful delivery of SQW and related training programs.
To Be Successful, You’ll Have:
- Experience in project coordination, training, employment services, community programs or a similar environment.
- Experience supporting participants, students or job seekers to achieve positive outcomes.
- Strong administration, organisation and project coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping capability.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including maintaining spreadsheets, tracking participant data and producing reports.
- Experience preparing written reports, analysing data and providing accurate project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a participant-centred approach.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365, CRM systems and reporting platforms.
- Current Driver Licence and reliable transport.
- Current Blue Card and Police Check (or ability to obtain).
