Site Construction Supervisor / Superintendent – Defence Projects

About the role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of construction activities on Defence projects. This is a senior site-based position with genuine responsibility, involving direct involvement with DCIG's project and management team.

Key responsibilities

• Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site activities

• Coordinating multiple work fronts and construction sequencing

• Monitoring programme, productivity, quality and site progress

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction documentation

• Managing QA/QC, inspections and project records

• Liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors

• Supporting mobilisation, delivery and project close-out

• Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements

About you

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Construction Supervisor or Superintendent

• Demonstrated Defence construction project experience

• Strong subcontractor management experience

• Sound knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and QA/QC requirements

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of site delivery

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Ability to meet Defence site access and project requirements

• Ability to undertake FIFO/DIDO from Perth, with interstate travel when required

• Current residence in Perth or Western Australia

• Hold current WA Building Practitioner registration, or have the recognised building qualifications and experience required to obtain registration and act as a Nominated Supervisor
