Car Washer - St Marys

Car wash attendants wash and scrub the exteriors of vehicles. They may also vacuum seats and carpets and clean door trims and hinges in the interior of vehicles. Main duties and responsibilities:

• Washing and drying vehicle exteriors
• Washing tyres
• Vacuuming vehicle interiors including car seats if required
• Clean vehicle interiors, including dashboards, consoles,

carpet, door trims and hinges (If necessary, as per site procedures and requirements)

• Drive vehicles through automatic car washes (If applicable)

Experience

• You can work as a car wash attendant without previous formal experience.

You will be required to demonstrate low speed manoeuvres (move off on a gradient, angle park, U-turn, 3-point turn and reverse parallel park) as well as a general drive.

• Driving licence.

• Thoroughly wash and rinse vehicles using appropriate cleaning products and techniques.
• Apply wax and polish to enhance the vehicle's appearance and protect the paintwork.
• Detail the interior of vehicles, including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning surfaces.
• Inspect vehicles for any damage or issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the washing area and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any customer queries or concerns.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a high school diploma is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and work in various weather conditions.
