Longwall Move Trades

About the role

Move Mining is seeking experienced Longwall Move Trades professionals to join our operations team in the Bowen Basin, Queensland. There are full-time, Causal and Sub-Contract positions offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge mining equipment and play a crucial role in the successful relocation and maintenance of longwall mining systems. As a Longwall Move Trades specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring efficient equipment transitions, contributing directly to the continuity and productivity of our mining operations.

We have positions available in the following roles:

• Longwall Fitters and Electricians

• Diesel Fitters and Electricians

• Operators

What we're looking for

• Formal trade qualifications or apprenticeship completion in mechanical, electrical trades

• Proven experience working with longwall mining equipment or similar heavy industrial machinery

• Demonstrated expertise in equipment maintenance, repair and troubleshooting

• Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance requirements in mining environments

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst maintaining individual accountability

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Physical capability to perform hands-on trades work in demanding conditions

• Current Standard 11 Underground and Surface

• Current Coal Board Medical

• Evidence of training/machine tickets relating to longwall relocation mobile equipment
