Leading and supervising a landscape maintenance crew delivering high-quality parks, gardens and public space servicesConducting day-to-day park and garden maintenance including mowing, planting, pruning and asset upkeepPermanent full-time position with ongoing opportunities for development and career progression within council operationsWorking with internal teams including supervisors, operations coordinators, and other maintenance crewsEnhancing the presentation and usability of public spaces, contributing to community wellbeing

What are we looking for?

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

Extensive experience in Landscape MaintenanceDemonstrated ability to supervise staff and allocate workExperience in planning and coordinating day to day activitiesDemonstrated ability to communicate effectivelyDemonstrated knowledge of minor plant and equipment used in Landscape MaintenanceWork Safely in the Construction Industry (White) CardA current Class C or MR driver licenceKnowledge of and commitment to WHS and EEO principles

Desirable Criteria

Tertiary qualification in Horticulture or related area
