Gas Fitter / Gas Plumber - Residential Gas Safety Checks

CheckHero is looking for experienced Gas Fitters / Gas Plumbers to join our team carrying out residential gas safety checks across Victoria.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants the stability of structured, predictable work without the heavy and unpredictable nature of traditional plumbing.

Your day will primarily involve inspecting residential properties, identifying gas safety issues and hazards, completing necessary repairs where appropriate, and providing clear recommendations to customers.

You'll be working independently in customers' homes while having a supportive team behind you.

• Conduct residential gas safety checks and inspections

• Identify gas faults, hazards and potential safety issues

• Complete appropriate repairs and rectification work

• Provide clear, professional recommendations to customers

• Explain issues and required works in a way customers can understand

• Complete accurate reporting and gas safety certification

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety

• Deliver professional, friendly customer service on every visit

• Manage your daily schedule and work independently

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Type A Servicing ticket

• Registered or licensed plumbing qualifications

• Strong understanding of AS4575 

• Previous experience in gas fitting, servicing or plumbing

• A strong understanding of residential gas safety

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• The ability to confidently work autonomously

• A professional approach when dealing with customers in their homes

• Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills

• A valid driver's licence

• A genuine commitment to safety and quality workmanship
