THE POSITION:
This position is responsible for assisting with the management and administration of the Visit Albury Wodonga website and social media accounts, including the planning, creation, scheduling, and implementation of digital marketing content. The role contributes to increasing the region's online presence, fostering audience engagement, and supporting destination marketing initiatives through effective digital communication strategies.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the management of the Visit Albury Wodonga website and social media accounts, including creating and publishing content.
- Evaluate and report on digital media activity against agreed objectives.
- Assist in the promotion and delivery of the Albury Wodonga Tourism Partner Program, ensuring strong relationships with participants and promotion of Visit Albury Wodonga and the team’s resources
- Assist in the development and distribution of Visit Albury Wodonga collateral
- Respond to customer enquiries received from online visitor platforms and social media
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of Albury Wodonga’s key tourism products and experiences
- Develop weekly and monthly activity guides for publication on visitalburywodonga.com and Visit Albury Wodonga’s social media channels
- Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
- Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Based on a 35 hour week, working a minimum of 21 hours, with actual days and times being between Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.
- Additional hours up to 35 hours per week may be worked by agreement, and this will be paid at the ordinary rate of pay.
- This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 35 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed in advance with your supervisor.
- This position does not require you to wear a compulsory uniform, however you must follow the dress code requirements within the AlburyCity’s Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely
- This position involves working in a predominantly indoor environment and using a computer is considered a core component of the role. There may be occasional visits to other work locations. The position requires an average level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake occasional physical activities, including manual handling tasks as part of a normal working environment. A medical declaration will be required to be completed prior to commencement.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Diploma qualification in Tourism/Marketing/Digital Communications or related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Class C (Standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have and maintain).
DESIRABLE:
- Experience working in a tourism or related environment
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in creating and publishing digital content.
- Experience in design and content creation
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- High level skills in the following areas:
- Social media and other communication channel development and management
- Written and verbal communication
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge and understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Experience managing eDM platforms, including audience segmentation, campaign scheduling, and database maintenance.
