What your day could look like

As a Senior Psychologist, you'll play a vital role in supporting older people to achieve their goals and maintain independence. From delivering advanced psychological care to shaping service improvements, you'll work with a multidisciplinary team to enhance wellbeing and help clients get the most out of life.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Providing expert assessment, intervention and ongoing psychological support for clients with complex needs.
• Partnering with clients, families and health professionals to create personalised pathways that promote wellbeing and independence.
• Leading quality improvement initiatives that strengthen clinical outcomes and enhance service delivery.
• Mentoring colleagues and contributing to education, supervision and capability development across the team.

You're a compassionate and experienced psychologist who combines clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to person-centred care. You build trusted relationships, think critically and confidently navigate complex situations while keeping clients' goals at the centre of your work. You'll take pride in empowering older people to maintain independence, improve wellbeing and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

• Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Experience delivering evidence-based psychological services to clients with complex needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary environments.
• Ability to lead service improvements and support the growth of others through mentoring and supervision.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience working with older people and/or additional training or expertise in aged care, mental health or geropsychology.
