Industrial Electrician/Electrical Technicians

Adelaide Based, Rototech Pty Ltd / Pope Electric Motors is an established Australian industrial electrical engineering company specialising in electric motors, VFDs, soft starters, motor control equipment and custom-engineered electrical packages for mining, industrial, HVAC, OEM and commercial applications.

Due to continued workload, we are looking for experienced electrical people to join our Adelaide team

We are particularly interested in A-Class Electricians, however, we would also welcome applications from experienced Electrical Technicians, Control Panel Wirers or Electrical Tradespeople with relevant industrial experience.

About the role

This is a varied, hands-on position involving a combination of workshop and occasional site work including

• Wiring, assembly and testing of industrial control panels and motor starter packages

• Electric motor modifications, wiring and electrical testing

• Installation, programming and commissioning of VFDs, soft starters and motor control equipment

• Industrial electrical installation and service work

• Fault finding and problem solving

• Reading and working from electrical schematics and drawings

• Site installation and commissioning as required

• Assisting with preparation of quotations and estimating, where experienced

About you

Ideally you will have experience in some of the following:

• Industrial electrical work experience

• Control panel wiring and assembly experience

• Electric motors and motor control knowledge

• VFDs and soft starters experience

• Electrical fault-finding capability

• Ability to read electrical schematics

• Industrial installation and commissioning experience

S.A. A-Class Electrical License highly regarded, but we are also interested in experienced applicants with

• Strong practical skills in control panel wiring, motors or industrial electrical equipment

• Estimating or quoting experience an advantage, but is not essential
