Noosa Shire Council
About the role
Noosa Council values the contribution of our people and is committed to creating a workplace where employees feel supported, respected and empowered to succeed. We celebrate diversity and are proud to foster an inclusive environment that promotes health and wellbeing, work-life balance and meaningful career development.
Join our supportive and progressive organisation and be part of a team delivering on our vision - ‘Noosa Shire – different by nature’
Lead the day-to-day technical operations of a busy performing arts venue, overseeing production services, equipment and teams to deliver high-quality live events. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to apply your technical expertise, support artists and presenters, and contribute to safe, professional and well-run performances.
You are an experienced theatre technician with strong hands-on expertise across audio, lighting and staging systems. Calm under pressure and safety-focused, you enjoy leading technical operations, supporting live performances and working closely with artists, presenters and crews to deliver professional, well-run events. You bring a practical mindset, strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
At Noosa Council, being Different by Nature is more than our location, it reflects how we work, how we support our people, and how we serve our community. We are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive, respectful and supportive, where diversity is valued and equal opportunity underpins our recruitment, development and career opportunities.
Our people play an important role in protecting Noosa’s unique natural environment while delivering services that support a thriving and sustainable community. Through our Certified Agreement 2025 and broader workforce initiatives, we have made a strategic investment in our employees to provide financial security, modern flexibility and meaningful wellbeing support throughout their careers.
Noosa Council is located at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Covering an area of 872 square km. Noosa has a proud history of preserving its natural environment and is recognised by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve.
