About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, energetic bartender to join our team, working across Porteño in Surry Hills and Bella Brutta in Newtown.

Both venues are part of our independently owned Sydney hospitality group, with a strong focus on great food, drinks and genuinely good service.

This is a great role for someone who loves working behind the bar, enjoys a busy service and wants the variety of working across two very different venues.

Porteño is our long-standing Surry Hills restaurant, known for its Argentine-inspired food, open-fire cooking and lively dining room.

Bella Brutta is our neighbourhood pizzeria in Newtown, serving wood-fired pizza alongside a tight drinks list of wine, cocktails and beer.

The venues have their own personalities, but share the same approach: quality products, knowledgeable service and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

About the role

You’ll work across the bars at Porteño and Bella Brutta, with responsibilities including:

• Preparing and serving cocktails, wine, beer and spirits

• Providing warm, knowledgeable and efficient service

• Setting up and packing down the bar for service

• Keeping the bar organised, clean and well stocked

• Assisting with stock control, ordering and rotation

• Maintaining a good knowledge of our drinks lists, producers and products

• Working closely with the floor and management teams to deliver a great guest experience

• Following responsible service of alcohol and venue procedures

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has solid bartending experience in busy restaurants or bars

• Is confident making classic cocktails and keen to learn our drinks lists

• Has a good knowledge of wine, beer and spirits

• Is organised, reliable and comfortable working at pace

• Has a warm, relaxed approach to service

• Enjoys being part of a close-knit hospitality team

• Is available for evening and weekend shifts

• Holds a current NSW RSA
