About Us
The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone’s experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

About the Group
The Corporate Finance group provides a broad range of financial services, including statutory and external reporting, management reporting, budgeting, asset management, accounts payable and receivable, and electronic procurement support. Led by the Chief Financial Officer, the group oversees key functions including budget and grant management, financial reporting, taxation, financial management compliance and financial operations.
The group also delivers shared transactional financial services to DTF, DPC and other government departments and agencies, as well as grant management and financial services for the Community Support Fund. In addition, Corporate Finance provides financial services to VicFleet, Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) and the Residential Tenancies Bond Authority (RTBA).
About the Role
Working closely with the RTBA Chief Financial Officer, General Manager and key stakeholders, the position further provides expert financial analysis, governance oversight and strategic advice to support operational and financial decision-making. The role also drives continuous improvement in reconciliation methodologies, reporting, financial controls and assurance processes, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and audit requirements while strengthening confidence in the RTBA's financial management framework.
The Senior Financial Analyst is also responsible for leading the financial reconciliation function for the RTBA Bond Management System, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and completeness of bond transactions and financial records. The role oversees complex reconciliation processes across high-volume financial transactions, identifies and resolves discrepancies, and maintains a robust control environment that supports the safeguarding of bond funds.
