About the role
Why This Role Matters:
The Project Officer (Community Engagement) addresses barriers to access and participation experienced by underrepresented cohorts, taking an intersectional approach to supporting engagement, pathways and success in UNSW Engineering. This role will work in collaboration with the Program Manager (Student Gender Equity) who focuses on women, non-binary and gender diverse students, the Community Engagement Coordinator, and the Senior Program Officer (Indigenous Engagement), as well as Future Student Recruitment and other areas of the Faculty of Engineering. As an Identified role, the role will also include the engagement in meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities.
The role entails providing project coordination and support, reporting and analytical support, developing communications, maintaining key internal and external relationships, and providing administrative support for key programs and projects.
The role is an identified Indigenous position. UNSW considers that being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational qualification under s.14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). This position is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only.
