As a Junior Medical Receptionist, you will play an important role in supporting our dermatologists and ensuring patients receive outstanding care throughout their Virtual Dermatology journey. You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional customer service while assisting with the day-to-day administration of Australia's leading telehealth dermatology service.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties may include:

• Answering incoming phone calls during business hours and assisting patients with enquiries.

• Managing appointment bookings, cancellations and rescheduling.

• Ensuring patients have completed their pre-consultation questionnaires and uploaded clinical photographs.

• Processing payments, finalising invoices and Medicare claims.

• Assisting patients with billing enquiries and general support.

• Completing administrative tasks requested by our dermatologists, including following up pathology results and specialist documentation.

• Assisting with maintaining accurate patient records.

• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, workflows and automation.

Desirable Skills

While not essential, experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

• Previous medical reception experience.

• Experience within dermatology or specialist practices.

• Experience working in telehealth.

• Knowledge of Medicare billing.

Availability Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be available to work Saturdays, including all Saturdays if required to meet operational needs. This is an essential requirement of the role.

• Have flexibility with their weekly availability to align with our doctors' consulting schedules.

• Be comfortable working from home with reliable internet access and an appropriate home office setup.

Hours & Remuneration

• Full time position.

• Regular weekly hours with flexibility depending on clinic requirements.

• Hourly rate of $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
