We're looking for an exceptional Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef to join our growing team full-time.This role is perfect for someone who is motivated, passionate and endlessly curious about food. We're after a chef who loves learning, enjoys working across different environments, and takes pride in creating thoughtful, seasonal food.No two weeks look the same. One day you'll be preparing for a private dinner or corporate event, the next you'll be leading service at ONLYS, our neighbourhood snack bar in Northcote, or cooking at an offsite wedding!
About the Role You'll work alongside our Head Chef, Nikki Owen across all areas of the business, including:Event preparation and productionCatering private, corporate and wedding events across MelbourneCheffing at ONLYS during weekly serviceAssisting with menu development and seasonal specialsMaintaining exceptional food quality and presentationStock management, ordering and kitchen organisationUpholding food safety and hygiene standards
About YouHas 3+ years' experience in a professional kitchen (ideally in catering) Holds a current driver's licence (essential)Is organised, reliable and calm under pressure/can work with a sense of urgencyIs passionate about seasonal produce and great hospitalityIs curious, eager to learn and enjoys developing their skillsThrives in a collaborative team environmentTakes initiative and has strong attention to detailIs excited by the variety of events, catering and restaurant service
