Our client is looking for individuals dedicated to providing care and supervision for children or disabled persons in group housing or institutional care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- The role encompasses assessing clients' needs and formulating, developing, and executing educational, training, and support programs.
- Engaging in client interviews to gauge the nature and severity of their difficulties.
- Consistently monitoring and documenting the progress of clients.
- Guiding clients to additional support agencies when necessary.
- Assessing the community needs in terms of health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other essential services and facilities.
- Collaborating with community groups, welfare agencies, government entities, and private businesses to address community issues and enhance awareness of available resources and services.
- Supporting families, providing education, and caring for children and disabled persons in adult service units, group housing, and governmental institutions.
- Supervising individuals on probation and parole.
- Assisting young individuals with social, emotional, and financial challenges.
- Preparing funding proposals and reports for governmental bodies and other organisations.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Skills commensurate with an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) are required.
- Three years of pertinent experience may be considered in lieu of the formal qualifications listed above.
- In some instances, additional relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be necessary alongside formal qualifications.
English Language Requirements:
- A minimum overall IELTS score of 5.0, with no less than 4.5 in each test component, or an equivalent assessment is required.

Skill Assessment Requirement:
- It is mandatory for qualifications and/or experience to be evaluated and verified by an appropriate skills assessing authority to ensure they are at least equivalent to the relevant Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification.
