About the role
The Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated nurse to Join our Oncology Nurse Development Program. This Program has been developed to support nurses transitioning into the specialty of cancer care through comprehensive education, clinical supervision and hands on experience in a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
The participant will receive:
- Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy administration
- Management of treatment related toxicities
- Central Venous access device management
- Oncology emergencies
- Patient education and supportive care
- Safe handling of cytotoxic medications
Working in this specialized area the applicant will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of clinical standards and will be directly responsible for:

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements
It is a mandatory condition of employment that some roles within our hospital require you to be vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against some or all of the following vaccine preventable diseases; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis.
