Technical Infrastructure Manager

This opportunity is with a well-established, large-scale production business based in South East Queensland. Recognised as an industry leader, the business supplies products to customers across Australia's agricultural sector, and continues to invest heavily in automation, robotics and modern production infrastructure. Due to growth, they are now seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Manager to lead their electrical, mechanical and site infrastructure maintenance function.

Reporting to the General Manager – Operations, the Technical Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of the business's electrical and mechanical maintenance function. With a focus on automation and robotics systems, site infrastructure, services and grounds. Leading the Maintenance team, this is a hands-on, high-impact role for a technically strong maintenance professional who wants genuine autonomy to shape maintenance strategy, drive reliability, and deliver capital projects and improvements.

●        Provide visible safety leadership and champion a strong safety culture across all maintenance and infrastructure activities.

●        Lead and develop the Maintenance Team, overseeing workforce planning and performance.

●        Oversee the maintenance, reliability and performance of electrical systems, automation and robotics across the site.

●        Manage the mechanical maintenance function, ensuring plant, equipment, buildings, services and grounds are fit for purpose.

●        Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs, works order/CMMS systems and maintenance reporting tools.

●        Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement to minimise downtime.

●        Identify, scope and manage capital works, upgrades, installations and improvement projects.

●        Identify, engage and manage contractors, service providers and equipment suppliers.

●        Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, tracking costs and identifying efficiencies.

●        Champion continuous improvement and sustainable maintenance practices across the site.

Essential:

●        5+ years' experience in a maintenance, engineering or technical infrastructure role, including electrical and mechanical maintenance.

●        Experience in a leadership or management role, with demonstrated experience leading and developing trades and maintenance teams.

●        Hands-on experience performing mechanical and electrical repairs, including welding and fabrication work.

●        Experience maintaining automation, robotics or PLC-controlled equipment in a production or industrial environment.

●        Experience developing and administering preventative maintenance programs and works order/CMMS systems.

●        Experience managing spare parts inventory, contractors and equipment suppliers.

●        Strong technical knowledge across electrical, mechanical, automation and control systems, including VSDs and drive programming, motor control circuits and safety control systems.

●        High level of mechanical aptitude, with strong hands-on fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

●        Electrical Trade Certificate / Licensed Electrician, with a current Electrical License (QLD).

●        Current Driver's License, and Advanced First Aid / Mental Health First Aid certificates (or willingness to obtain).

●        High Risk Work License — Forklift.

Desirable:

●        Experience with power generation equipment.

●        Experience in capital works or infrastructure projects.

●        Background in food production, horticultural or primary industries.
