Team Lead

The Team Lead Accounts Payable position is responsible for the leadership and management of an accounts payable team that provides efficient and effective Accounts Payable Services to the Hospital and Health Services, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures and agreed service specifications and performance standards.

Your key responsibilities:

• Manage staff according to the approved Human Resource Management framework including recruitment, counselling, training, performance management and performance planning for staff.
• Plan and allocate staff workload, delegating appropriately and ensuring work is completed within designated timeframes.
• Monitor the provision of accounts payable service to ensure valid client expectations are satisfied in line with the Service Level Agreements and designated KPl's.
• Using corporate financial systems, plan and coordinate the capture of data to enable the development of key performance indicators to ensure service delivery standards are met.

Role fit

The essential requirements for this role are:

• Demonstrated working knowledge in the use of contemporary financial management information technology, and other software applications (e.g., databases, spreadsheets) relevant to an accounts payable function.
• Demonstrated ability to research and review information to assist decision-making, including the ability to utilize relevant financial accounting systems together with experience in review and interpretation of information and in formulating recommendations to management.
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and procedures applicable to the accounts payable function consistent with Queensland Health and other government agency directives.
• Ability to set priorities, allocate and monitor workloads so that data integrity is achieved in accordance with system requirements and Accounting Standards.
