About the role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Packing Operator to join our dynamic team in a hands-on print production role. As a printing and packing operator, your responsibilities will include packing and dispatching printed material as well as operating the digital printers to help produce accurate and high-quality point of sale kits.

This role requires someone who can work in a team environment, exhibit a high level of communication and can solve problems logically.  The role also offers the applicant a chance to learn new skills that include digital printing, effective time management and skills in how to manage workflows.

This is a part-time position working 37.5 hours per fortnight across a rolling schedule: Week A – Wednesday to Friday (22.5 hours), and Week B – Monday and Tuesday (15 hours).

You’ll be responsible for

Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, some (but not all) of the role’s responsibilities include:

• Communicating with team members
• Operating production digital printers (training performed onsite)
• Printing materials in multiple sizes and formats
• Monitoring print quality and recognising errors
• Understanding a Run-Sheet for print quantities
• Organising and Collating printed materials
• Trimming. Operating a small electric guillotine (training performed onsite)

Experience, skills, and expertise

We are looking for someone who: 

• Has strong communication skills and a positive attitude are valued
• The ability to think logically and solve problems
• Has the understanding of printing workflows
• The ability to work in a team
• Is self-motivated with the ability to work independently if required
• Has general computer skills, basic understanding of Word & Excel
• Has a background in digital printing/packing (desirable, though not essential).
